Die Wes-Kaap se 0/15-kampioene verower brons

Die Hoërskool Stellenberg se 0/15-skaakspan het tydens die SA-Topskole Skaaktoernooi wat die afgelope September-vakansie in Bloemfontein gehou is, vir hulle skool en die Wes-Kaap baie lof ingeoes: Hulle het 'n algehele derde plek verower, net 'n halwe punt agter die naaswenners, die Hoërskool Waterkloof, van Pretoria. Die wenners van hierdie toernooi, Midstream College, het die Wes-Kaap se kampioenspan met slegs 3.5 punte geklop!

Under 9: Curro Bronze medals

Under 11: De Hoop Bronze medals

Under 13: Welgemoed Silver medals

Under 15: Stellenberg Bronze medals

Under 19: The Settlers Bronze medals

A new WP Schools Chess Committee was selected on 26 July 2011 at the Turfhall Sport Centre:

WP Top Schools Play-offs 8 & 9 August 2011 at The Settlers High School

The first two places in each age group will represent WP at the Western Cape Top Schools Play-offs on 12 & 13 August 2011 in Caledon.

The first three positions in each age group were:
